Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy eliminates Spider Veins by a microinjection method that requires no pain medication or surgery. A solution (usually of salts) is injected through a tiny needle directly into the vein. The solution causes the blood vessel walls to swell and stick together, and the blood to clot. Over time, the vessel fades from view. Sclerotherapy is a well-proven procedure and has been in use since the 1930s.

 

All treatments are administered by Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, and/or licensed Registered Nurses (with minimum of a bachelors degree, RN, BSN’s) in the comfort and relaxing environment of our deluxe facility. Second to your safety and well-being, patient service and satisfaction are our top priorities.

Cynosure Elite IQ Laser Therapy

Elysian Med Spa also offers a technologically advanced Cynosure Elite IQ Laser therapy to treat spider veins.

 

A laser sends very direct, accurate bursts of light energy into the vein. This also causes changes in the vein, which lead to fading.

 

Laser therapy is more appealing to some patients because it does not use any needles. Discomfort can be reduced by topical numbing cream. Laser treatments also take 15 to 30 minutes. Usually two to five sessions are needed to treat spider veins in the legs.
